Schnitzel, Bavarian Delicacies & Cosiness in Munich City Centre
From Munich Central Station towards the old town, just a few steps from Stachus, you will find an open-air oasis under the sky – our Schankhof, where you can relax like in a beer garden right in the pedestrian zone. Through the Gassenschenke you enter our restaurant, a traditional inn in the lovingly renovated Spatenhof.
The Restaurant
At Schnitzelwirt you can choose between the Bräustube and the Münchner Stube – or the quieter Wiener Eck and Antonius-Stube. You'll feel at home everywhere. Austrian and Bavarian cuisine with a focus on freshly prepared pan dishes.
A Passion for Schnitzel
The Wiener Schnitzel is always made from veal, carefully breaded and quickly fried – golden-brown, crispy and fine, the meat inside paper-thin and juicy. Whether classic or bold, plain or elaborately stuffed: always fresh and crunchy, à la minute from the pan.
Tradition at the Spatenhof
Our house looks back on a rich history dating to 1782. In spring 2009 the Spatenhof was lovingly renovated and reopened as Schnitzelwirt. We remain warmly committed to the tradition of this house.
Your Escape in the Heart of the City
Visit us right in Munich's city centre (pedestrian zone). Our wonderful Schankhof lets you sit and relax like in a beer garden, in the middle of the lively pedestrian zone.
